About Me

I have been accused (mostly lovingly) of being a Pollyanna, but I firmly believe “the joy of the Lord is [my] strength” (Nehemiah 8:10).  This does not mean I am always happy (in fact, sometimes my optimism gets seriously misplaced), but I do ardently seek joy in order to navigate my life.  I have found that through joy, Christ gives me the strength to walk through any hardship with thankfulness and more fully embrace the peaceful and blissful moments too.  I know God does not often answer the question “Why?”, but I delight in discovering the patterns of his faithfulness and goodness in my life and the lives of others.

I love the many blessed relationships I have, and much of my writing stems from these connections.  My three favorite inspirations right now are my three sons: Liam (8), Sawyer (5), and Everett (3); I truly learn more about God’s nature from those super-boys than I ever discover on my own.  My sweet, sexy husband and our romance also serve as insight into my romance with my savior, Christ Jesus.  More recently, my mama’s battle with cancer and subsequent passing along with my own cancer battle has shown me the depth of God’s love and provision in the midst of my grief and pain.  His joy has wrapped me up in times when nothing else made sense.  I am one blessed lady.
